Revelstoke to Pincher Creek, Alberta

Day 2 of my trip included riding from Revelstoke back over the Rogers Pass to Pincher Creek with a stop at Highwood Pass the highest paved road in Canada. Most the journey was returning using the same road before taking a right turn on the TransCanada Highway at Kananaskis heading south on Highway 40. Highway 40 was a welcome change to the TransCanada Highway as I climbed towards the Highwood Pass. See below the map from Revelstoke to the Highwood Pass.

The Highwood Pass is nice but not awe inspiring as I thought it would be. There were a lot of fellow bikers on the road.

From Highwood Pass I headed south the landscape changes dramatically as mountains give way to the wide open prairie and finally pincher creek.
