Calgary to Revelstoke over Rogers Pass

Dream trip day 1 began on a sour note, I was not expecting such hot weather in Calgary. It felt like almost 40°C. I left in the morning headed for Revelstoke, which is about a 4 1/2 hour ride. The highest point is Rogers pass at the halfway point and the road and views are amazing but the traffic was a bit too much as it was the weekend, a Saturday. I stopped near the Pass to take some pictures. This part of the Rockies along Highway 1 is beautiful with soaring peaks, lush green forest, and shimmering rivers, however, the road is just too good, and you miss the thrills of being on a small road where there is adventure on every corner. Anyway, I got to Revelstoke late afternoon at lunch at a great Vietnamese restaurant and then made my way to the hotel for some rest. I recorded a video flew my drone, packed my stuff and called it a night.
